Wisdom tooth extraction is a surgical procedure to remove one or more wisdom teeth — the four permanent adult teeth located at the back corners of your mouth on the top and bottom. During the procedure, you should feel no pain and barely any (if at all) discomfort. After the procedure, the extraction site may feel a little tender for several days but with a little rest and recuperation, you should be back to normal within 7 days. Wisdom teeth are the third molars in the very back of our mouths and don't always need to be removed so long as they're healthy, grown in completely, biting correctly, and are able to be cleaned as part of regular hygiene practices.
